About Project
This assignment tasked students with taking a popular piece of media creating an LDD based on the chosen topic and following up with a concept in Lyra. Students were restrained when they found out after Greybox that the licensing was lost. We were then given generic low-poly assets for our genre and tasked with salvaging the project as a "Generic / imitation" of the original IP for shipping.

Environment
The design objective is to capture the essence of a mystical, otherworldly realm that is both ancient and futuristic. The vision draws inspiration from a blend of sci-fi and ancient architecture, focusing on creating a sense of grandeur and wonder. The form language would be characterized by sleek and intricate shapes, evocative of modern technology's precision and the complexity of ancient ruins.

Atmosphere / Design Process
I always begin concepting a level by building a mood board with 3 central pillars or themes that I would like to explore in my design process. After this, I began looking for assists within the editor that would support the aesthetic and built a personal library of what I could and couldn't use.

Designing a compelling Level
The challenge lied in achieving a cohesive visual language that seamlessly integrates these seemingly disparate elements into a unified whole. Drawing on architectural motifs from Mayan or Egyptian cultures would provide a solid foundation for this design endeavour, and the use of materials such as polished metal, glass, and stone would add a touch of luxury and sophistication to the overall aesthetic.
